2022
We tour Berlin to record undocumented stories, stories that otherwise would be lost.
We organize story installations, storytelling workshops, acoustic cinema nights, and a series of events, where a selection of stories are translated into food, music, and art objects.
We run a monthly live radio show dedicated to stories and the podcast Stories in Berlin. We also organize the International Storytelling Festival We Love Stories in Chania, Creta.

The Radio Show
In a western society that is dominated by a never-ending stream of visual input, and in which ´storytelling´ is being used as a trend word in the world of marketing, we wish to investigate and foster the essence of stories – using the mass medium that has been the oral storytelling format par excellence: radio.
In collaboration with Colaboradio, as part of the FR-BB, Freies Radio Berlin Brandenburg. community radio project, we launched STORY FOR FOOD The Radio Show.in September 2018.
This is a monthly live radio show dedicated to stories. Every month, we broadcast stories from our audio archive and invite guests to share live on the air a story on the theme of the month.
Our wish is to foster oral storytelling and help value stories in society, by promoting the practice of sharing them and the culture of listening to them.

We are happy to announce the 1st edition of our 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 We Love Stories that shall take place in April 2022 at the premises of the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - 𝗞𝗔𝗠 (story recordings, performances, screenings) and the Turkish 𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗠 on Katre Street (story installations) in 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮, 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮.
We Love Stories is an international festival dedicated to oral storytelling. Through theatre, cinema, music, illustration, sound art, shadow theatre, and dance poetry, we will share stories from around the world with the participation of artists from Greece, Italy, Poland, and Iceland and films of young filmmakers from the UK, France, and the USA.
It is organized by STORY FOR FOOD(SFF), a Berlin-based international platform for collecting and archiving oral stories. SFF audio collects and archives anonymous stories that would otherwise be lost, and exchanges them for food.
We Love Stories aspires to take visitors on a journey to different parts of the world, through stories of strangers and folktales, and to give them the opportunity to record their own stories in the SFF Story Audio Archive.
Each story will be exchanged for a coffee in different parts of the city, while food gift vouchers will be offered to unemployed people.
We will also record stories from the Roma communities in Chania that will be presented on the social media of We Love Stories during the festival.

In collaboration with Colaboradio, as part of the FR-BB, Freies Radio Berlin Brandenburg.community radio project, we launched STORY FOR FOOD The Radio Show.in September 2018.
This is a monthly live radio show dedicated to stories. Every month, we broadcast stories from our audio archive and invite guests to share live on the air a story on the theme of the month.
Our wish is to foster oral storytelling and help value stories in society, by promoting the practice of sharing them and the culture of listening to them.

We are happy to share news about the 2nd edition of
We Love Stories International Storytelling & Performing Arts Festival that takes place in Chania, Crete. Through literature, visual, and performing arts we share stories and folk tales from different parts of the world with the participation of international artists.
--- The second edition of We Love Stories is dedicated to WOMEN.
From ancient myths to folk tales, from polyphonic songs to poetry and short stories, the festival aspires to celebrate women in motherhood and in love, to talk about their relationship with time and their bodies, speak of gender violence, and reflect on the place of women in modern family and society. Through theatre performances, film nights, sound installations, art exhibitions, storytelling workshops, and butoh dance, we will share light and dark aspects of the role of women in the past and in the present. With the participation of artists from Greece, Italy, Germany, Guatemala, Iceland, France, Israel, and Spain.
The second edition of We Love Stories will take place in September 2022 at the premises of the San Salvatore Promenade, Krini Splatzias, and Ag. Rokos in Chania, Crete, with free admission.

We Love Stories 2 WOMEN
We are happy to announce that the 2nd edition of
We Love Stories International Storytelling & Performing Arts Festival takes place on the 26 September - 1 October 2022 at the premises of the San Salvatore Promenade, Krini Splatzias, and Ag. Rokos in Chania, Crete.
We Love Stories is international storytelling and performing arts festival that takes place annually in Chania, Crete. Through literature, visual, and performing arts we share stories and folk tales from different parts of the world with the participation of international artists.
It is organized by STORY FOR FOOD (SFF), a Berlin-based international platform for collecting and archiving oral stories. SFF audio collects and archives anonymous stories that would otherwise be lost, and exchanges them for food. Co-organizers of the festival are the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania, and the OurStories Foundation.

We Love Stories 2 WOMEN
We just finished We Love Stories International Storytelling & Performing Arts Festival |2| dedicated to WOMEN in Chania, Crete, a co-production of STORY FOR FOOD, the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania, and the OurStories Foundation.
We deeply thank our technicians, volunteers, and artists for this wonderful week of storytelling, theatre, and dance performances. We heard ancient myths and folk tales, polyphonic songs, poetry, and personal stories, we saw visual performances and dance pieces that celebrated women in motherhood and in love, talked about their relationship with time and their bodies, spoke of gender violence, and reflected on the place of women in modern family and society.
We live in a moment of history where every single day 137 women across the world are killed by a partner or member of their own family, where in Islamic states we kill women for not wearing properly a veil, where the right to abortion is being denied to women even in western countries that call themselves democracies.
We pray for a world with more love, more justice, more equity, and more respect for diversity. We call for no more gender violence and gender discrimination, no more #Zak crimes, no more #MashaAmini crimes and no more fear for anyone to express freely their sexual identity.

The Radio Show
In a western society that is dominated by a never-ending stream of visual input, and in which ´storytelling´ is being used as a trend word in the world of marketing, we wish to investigate and foster the essence of stories – using the mass medium that has been the oral storytelling format par excellence: radio.
In collaboration with Colaboradio, as part of the FR-BB, Freies Radio Berlin Brandenburg community radio
project, we launched STORY FOR FOOD The Radio Show in September 2018.
This is a monthly live radio show dedicated to stories. Every month, we broadcast stories from our audio archive and invite guests to share live on the air a story on the theme of the month.
Our wish is to foster oral storytelling and help value stories in society, by promoting the practice of sharing them and the culture of listening to them.
----This month we go back to live radio and our show is inspired by November in Berlin.

We Love Stories 3 SEA |E|SCAPES
After.We Love Stories International Storytelling & Performing Arts Festival |2| dedicated to WOMEN which took place in Chania, Crete, as a co-production of STORY FOR FOOD, the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania, and the OurStories Foundation, we started working on We Love Stories |3| on the theme of SEA |E|SCAPES, a bridge festival between Berlin, Athens and Chania that shall take place in 2023.
